Characteristics

(1) Light weight, low material consumption and low cost. Honeycomb sandwich structure has the highest strength/mass ratio compared to other sheet metal structures, so the performance/price ratio of the finished product is good, which is the key to the success of honeycomb cardboard.

(2) High strength, flat surface and not easy to deform. The honeycomb sandwich structure is approximately isotropic, structurally stable, and not easily deformed. Its outstanding pressure resistance and bending resistance are the most important characteristics required for box packaging materials.

(3) Good impact resistance and cushioning. Honeycomb cardboard is made of flexible paper core and paper, with good toughness and resilience. The unique honeycomb sandwich structure provides excellent cushioning performance and higher energy absorption per unit volume in all cushioning materials. High-thickness honeycomb cardboard can replace EPS plastic foam cushions that are widely used.

(4) Sound absorption and heat insulation. The interior of the honeycomb sandwich structure is a closed chamber filled with air, so it has good sound insulation performance.

(5) It is non-polluting and conforms to the trend of modern environmental protection. Honeycomb cardboard is made entirely of recycled paper and can be recycled and reused 100% after use.

3, Performance

(1) The flat compressive strength of honeycomb cardboard is much higher than that of corrugated cardboard, and the flat compressive strength of honeycomb cardboard decreases with the increase of the aperture when the amount of consumables is constant.

(2) The lateral compressive strength of the honeycomb cardboard decreases with the increase of the aperture; the lateral compressive strength of the corrugated cardboard is much higher than that of the honeycomb cardboard, and the lateral lateral compressive strength is lower than that of the honeycomb cardboard.

(3) The bending strength of the honeycomb cardboard is higher than that of the corrugated cardboard, and the bending strength increases as the aperture increases.

(4) The peel strength of corrugated board is higher than that of honeycomb cardboard; the peel strength of honeycomb cardboard increases with the decrease of the aperture.

(5) There is basically no significant difference in the puncture strength between the honeycomb cardboard and the corrugated cardboard. If corrugated board and honeycomb cardboard are used together, the advantages of corrugated board and honeycomb board can be exerted, and the side pressure strength and the compressive strength of the composite board can be improved. In addition, when making the package, if the corrugated box is used as the box, the upper and lower walls of the box are padded with honeycomb cardboard, which can improve the shockproof, compressive, heat preservation, anti-pushing ability and carrying capacity of the package.
